1x8 Eight Elite Clan and Community Membership Policy
Set forth are the rules and guidelines which Eight Elite refers to as the 1x8 Eight Elite Clan and Community Membership Policy. It is the responsibility of all members, clan and community, to read and understand the policy. All members are bound by the policy and any violation or non-compliance is subject to a Global Ban of the member(s) involved.
Overview
We are an elite gaming clan and we are here to have fun as we grow and build friendships while venturing into new and different games and areas of gaming. We have much respect for one another and we will continue to grow regardless of who staggers and falls by the way side. If you are not a member and you are looking into membership with Eight Elite be sure that you can abide by our Code of Conduct and that you can support our clan policies 100%, if you can not, then you may want to reconsider your application for membership.
Definitions
Eight Elite Services
Services provided to clan and community members including but
not limited to; gaming servers, voice over IP services, discussion forum.
Global Ban (Community member)
Exclusion of services provided by Eight Elite.
Global Ban (Clan member)
Expulsion from the clan and loss of all membership privileges including
access to Eight Elite services.
Clan Officials
CEO and Administrators
Administration
Administrators are to be treated with respect by all Eight Elite clan and community members. They are here to make sure that your membership within Eight Elite is a great one. Administrators report directly to the CEO and they are the CEO`s right hand in handling clan matters. Members who do not adhere to the requests of administrators are subject to loss of privileges and possible Global Ban.
Appointed Staff
All appointed staff are to be treated with respect by all Eight Elite clan and community members. The roles of these members are varied and are appointed to manage different aspects within Eight Elite. These staff positions report directly to the Administration.
Conduct
Any clan or community member found to be disruptive, immature or show a clear lack of respect to other players or clan officials including any un-sportsmanship actions are subject to loss of privileges, repeated offences could result in a Global Ban. This includes but not limited to; forum posts, teamspeak servers, in-game communications and chat (voice and text).
Cheating, Hacking and Glitching
Eight Elite operates a ZERO TOLERANCE policy against hacking, cheating
and glitching with no exceptions.
Any persons found to be using any illegal or un-sportsman like methods to improve their performance or giving an unfair advantage over others will result in a Global Ban. Any persons found to be attempting to disrupt, take over or damage any of the services provided by Eight Elite will be subject to a Global Ban and could also face prosecution for the destruction of private and corporate property.
Membership
It is the duty of all Eight Elite members to actively promote the clan via Eight Elite services and any external arising opportunities.
Any abuse of member privileges will result in loss of privileges and possible expulsion from the clan.
It is the responsibility and duty of all clan members to patrol and moderate Eight Elite services. Any member who discovers or is aware of a previously banned person using an Eight Elite service is to take immediate action to kick or ban them from the service being used. If the clan member does not have sufficient admin rights to enforce the action they should ask the offending person to leave in an appropriate manner. If the person will not leave and a clan member with sufficient rights is not available a record should be made of the offending players details so then action can be taken at a later stage.
Clan members are obliged to try and help where possible any community member issues. Any important issues that can not be resolved should be directed towards a clan official.
All clan members are entitled to a voice and in addition members may also be called on to give private input and opinions to clan officials. It is the role of members not to get actively involved in any clan politics but to support any decisions made by clan officials.
If a vote is required to action a decision it will be made aware of to the members by the CEO only.
All final decisions relating to clan business will be actioned by the CEO.
All information and services which are exclusive to Eight Elite and its operation which includes but not limited to; clan member only areas, strategies, graphics, files, videos, is the property of Eight Elite Incorporated. Any members found to be communicating sensitive information to non clan members that may effect Eight Elite will be classed as treason and will result in a Global Ban.
Any clan member found to be promoting or supporting a clan other than Eight Elite in any of the games we are actively playing, will result in a global ban unless prior approval from the CEO.
Any members found to be conspiring with other players or members in a negative way to Eight Elite or any of its members including its policies will result in a Global Ban.
Members conspiring to overthrow any Eight Elite Official will be seen as an act of Mutiny and Treason to the clan and will result in an immediate Global Ban.
Clan members are obligated to be solely part of Eight Elite in any games we are actively playing. Any member found to be part of or is listed with another clan will result in a Global Ban unless prior approval has been given by the CEO.
Smurfing
Members found to be smurfing under a different name to play with other clans or to intimidate other players will not be tolerated and could result in the member losing privileges.
Leaving Eight Elite
Members joining another team while being a member of Eight Elite or leaving to join or start another team/clan is considered an act of treason against Eight Elite and will result in an immediate Global Ban.
Members wishing to leave Eight Elite for any reason are obligated to bring their concerns to the attention of the Administration. Members must be aware that a Global Ban may take effect to protect and secure any possible repercussions that may affect the stability of Eight Elite's future and to maintain the gaming experience for its members. On leaving players must remove the [8E] tag from any associated game, signature, nicknames etc.
Eight Elite is aware that circumstances arise where a long-term absence may be required, it is not necessary to leave the clan. If you have any concerns bring the issue to the Administration.
